Many people seem to think that the Air Cadets is some sort of recruitment team for the Royal Air Force. This is NOT the case, however it is fact that the Air Cadet Organisation provides a high percentage of the Royal Air Force's yearly intake of recruits.

The cadets learn some skills during their time at cadets, which help them in both Military and Civilian life. They also have many experiences which are not easily available through civilian life, such as flying, gliding, Duke of Edinburgh, overseas camps and shooting.
